Special Circumstances

In cases where an individual does not meet the guidelines for an eligible worker and approved trainers/courses, application may be made to the Executive Director of the Training Fund Authority for special consideration. Matters that would be taken into account in for special applications would include whether the individual:

• is, or has been, a member of a recognised industry employer or employee organisation or association;
• is, or has been, a member of the ACT Long Service Leave or Building Industry Superannuation schemes or similar organisations; and
• has relevant employment history in the ACT building and construction industry.
